# Quickstart

> From nothing to a shared link in about two minutes.

Sign in, publish one doc and send its link. It takes about two minutes, and there's nothing to install.

1. ## Sign in

   Your account, a username and your own workspace are made the first time you sign in. There's nothing to set up.

   [Sign in to Dockito](https://dockito.ai/signin) with GitHub or Google.

2. ## Publish a doc

   Pick the way you work. Each one makes the same doc, with its own link.

   **In the app**

   Drop a `.md` or `.html` file on **Home**, or choose **New doc**. The doc opens at its link straight away.

   **From the terminal**

   ```sh
   npx dockito@beta login
   npx dockito@beta publish plan.md
   ```

   `login` approves this computer in your browser, and `publish` prints the doc's link. Publish the same file again later and the same link shows the new version.

   **From your AI**

   Connect your tool once, then just ask: *"Publish this plan to Dockito and give me the link."*

3. ## Share the link

   New docs are private to your workspace. Open **Share** on the doc and choose who can open it:

   - **Everyone with access**: Everyone who can open where it sits. Members can edit.
   - **Only people you pick**: Each can edit, comment or view.
   - **Public**: Anyone with the link can view, no sign-in.
